Dear Mary,

Interview with all of them, I have been in the business for 22 years and I am basically at the same location as day one, first pick an area where you want to sell, usually where you live and interview with all of those real estate companies that have a presence in your neighborhood. I did look for a company with a training department when I first started, not sure if any of them have that anymore however it was helpful....Maybe you can work under another agent who is looking for team members for the first couple of years...Good luck, if you have any questions, feel free to contact me...

Check your HOA rules first to see if renting is allowed--if so any local agent can help you determine a rental price--and for maximum exposure consider listing with an agent.

There are plenty of condominiums in Redwood Shores that would be near EA Sports or Oracel for example.
Redwood Shores was developed about 20 years ago and so the housing stock is newer than generally found on the SF Peninsula.
There is one major shopping center in Redwood Shores located on Redwood Shores Parkway.
There is a very nice complex Hastings Shores located next ot the shopping center and right across the street from EA Sports.
Let me know if I can do anything further to help.

Home values are holding steady in the Mt. Carmel area. I've lived in the Mt. Carmel area 11 of the last 15 years, so I've seen it evolve quite a bit since I first moved there in 1992. In the last few months, of the 11 homes that sold in the area, they've gotten between 95% to 103% of asking price. All dependent on the house, the block, how close it is to a busy artery like Jefferson or Brewster, and how well the home was priced. It's still a very desirable area of Redwood City, probably right up there with the Edgewood Park neighborhood. Currently, there's 19 homes for sale in this region, from a 2br/1ba for $679K, to an overpriced 4/3 on Hopkins for over $1.5K. Great neighborhood, great community, and John Gill is 3rd in test scores (with 771) behind Clifford (799) and Roy Cloud (888 ... more
