Norm,
You didn't include a property address or link, so we can't say. Try asking again or contact a local agent for information about the property or similar ones.

There are no first time home buyer programs right now. You can, however, get a homestead exemption. Go to this link to read more about it: http://dor.myflorida.com/dor/property/taxpayers/exemptions.html

Homestead, Up To $50,000
Every person who owns and resides on real property in Florida on January 1 and makes the property his or her permanent residence is eligible to receive a homestead exemption up to $50,000. The first $25,000 applies to all property taxes, including school district taxes. The additional exemption up to $25,000, applies to the assessed value between $50,000 and $75,000 and only to non-school taxes.

I can send you some lenders to contact in this area if you are interested in obtaining a mortgage. In order to submit an offer on a home you would need proof of funds if paying cash or a pre-approval letter from a lender. If I can help with anything else, please contact me.

Mike Sikorski answered:
Real estate deed restrictions are restrictions on the deed that place limitations on the use of the property. Deed restrictions such as restrictive covenants are often put in place to maintain a desired look in a neighborhood. To that end, deed restrictions may prevent owners from building more than a pre-established number of homes on one lot. Deed restrictions can also specify what materials or style a building may or may not be constructed of, and how close to the street it can be. Deed restrictions can even specify the minimum size that a house on the lot may be! ... more

It has a fenced dog play yard, doggie drinking fountains, showers on decks for dogs only, fire hydrants and leash posts. Go out and enjoy the day with your pet, he/she will surely appreciate it. This is one of my walkabout Wednesday series. Check back each Wednesday for a new place to walkabout.

Gem,

The fact that there are only two golf courses in Port Charlotte may be a contributing factor to Port Charlotte Golf Club being considered the top course. There are a number of other area courses that you may wish to consider as well. Heron Creek, Bobcat Trail, Sabal Trace, and the other Port Charlotte course at Riverwood.

Feel free to contact us for additional information.

Good luck,

Bill

Hi Sonny! Port Charlotte has a small Beach with a park, Public pool, fishing pier and boat ramp right in the City. Not the best place to bath in the water though. Most people prefer Manasota Beach in Englewood, which is about a 25 minute drive from Pt Charlotte, depending on where you are located within the City. The best place would be Siesta Key in Sarasota! This has consistantly been rated the 1 or 2 Best Beach in the World! and it happens to only be about a 40-45 minute drive from Port Charlotte. There are also several other beaches not to far.

If you would like to discuss anything else feel free to contatc me at anytime, good luck!

Some areas of South Gulf Cove have no bridge, it just depends where the property is located. For bridges in South Gulf Cove you would want to be able to clear 10' most of the year. In the Summer when the canals are higher from all the rain it could be as little at 9-3/4'. The lock length and width is 80' x 20'. ... more
