I recommend you use a property manager as there are so many spammers in the rental market. The property manager will screen your tenants and make sure you are in compliances.

If I may be of help drop me a note. ... more

Hi EnglishJennie,

www.RemaxBayArea.com

Sure, $800,000 is possible. Especially in Sunnyvale. Mountain View could also work...Cupertino could be another possibility...

I can email you listings if you'd like. When are you looking to purchase?

I am from New York originally and my sister went to school in Northeastern; I love Bean Town!

Coming out for work I presume?

Depending on where you work and what you would accept for a commute, Los Gatos could be an option too...you have a lot of options in this area all with great schools!

Well, welcome. If you have any questions, please feel free to email or call anytime!

Thanks!
-Matt

Our rental market in Santa Clara county is in high demand. It's not too early to shop for a rental. If you are lucky enough to secure a rental before your move, you may want to consider that.

And be warned that Craigslist has a lot of scammers on it so do not send them any information until you know it to be a real person and real rental.

All the best to you.

Hi Arlene, look for similar ads to see what they are charging. Here on Trulia there is a new Rent section as well as Craigslist, Mercury News and other on-line sources. The rents asking on other homes in Palo Alto will give you an idea of today's rental market in your area. ... more

RS,

The best place to look for apartments is craigs list. Most landlors, agents & property managers post rental ads on Craigs list. It is probably the most comprehensive data about rentals.

Rent to buy options are few and far between. That limits you to condos and townhomes. It eleiminates the apartment complexes that are owned as a unit.

Hope this helps

Commute from SF to PA should be easier. But what it will come down to is lifestyle. Do you want to live in the city or the Subs?
