If I am reading correctly, that is a question for the Buena Park Police. They would have records of any crime reported in the area.

Tim Kunze answered:
Tastusan,

My son lives just up Newhope from there. I'd prefer he live somewhere else. His brother's car got broken into while parked in his apartment's lot. Another negative is that this complex backs to a trail which would make it much easier to jump the fence without being noticed.

On the plus side, this looks like new(er) construction. Also, it's an end unit so far enough away from Trask to be fairly quiet. It's also a very attractively decorated and, seemingly, well-cared-for home.

This home seems to be over priced based on the comparables. It should be closer to, if not below, $450,000.

Besides my son living in that area, I lived in West Garden Grove and am quite familiar with a good part of Orange County, especially that surrounding Garden Grove.

How else can I help? Send me an email at Tim@TimKunze.com or call me at 714-552-2335 and let's find you a great home.

I doubt anyone on here will have any information relating to your question. I suggest you check with the Police Department records from that period.

I did hear that there is an evil monkey that lives in a closet in the secondary bedroom. With all the reality TV shows based on hauntings, you could buy this home & have TLC pay you $200k per episode like the lady with 25 kids & counting & make megabucks, if it is really "way haunted"!

I don't look back on this same Trulia thread for answers posted after mine.

Dear CheryL:
I always advise my clients to call the local police department and ask them about crime the area they want to live.
I have always found them to be helpful and knowledgeable which will put your mind at ease.
there are also crime maps for cities which show crime rates.
Do a little googling and see what you find.
Best regards,

In terms of safety, vandalism and crime, you should check with the local police department. As for bar on the windows, make sure they have "quick-release" mechanisms on every window so that they can be opened for escape in the event of a fire. ... more

Karen Parsons Fiddler answered:
Hi,

I live in Mission Viejo and I'm not worried. I know these things are scary! I have a dear friend who is a nuclear engineer at San Onofre. For one thing, the movement during one of our earthquakes is different from that of Japan, so the intensity would not affect our reactor in the same manner. Also he says that San Onofre is built differently and has a better system of layers.

I don't understand it all...but this is someone I respect and trust. I think the good that nuclear energy provides is worth the risks. Even with the disaster that Japan is dealing with, it appears there will be very little permanent damage...I hope this is in fact the case.

The best thing to do is to contact the local police station in Anaheim: http://www.anaheim.net/sectionnew.asp?id=124

Another site to go to is www.city-data.com This site has a Q and A Section that can be answered by residents living nearby!

Anurag,

Does not sound like a lot of calls for service, but they would be the best to answer your question. If you want general crime information you can log into my website at www.joehoms.com and look at the neighborhood crime rates for the cities. If you need any assistance with your purchase, let me know.

Contact the broker - he is the only one that can tell you what has happened. Or, check the public records of the county where the property is
