You need to negotiate commission prior to signing any contracts. Most buyer agents will acccept 1/2 of what the going commission is for your specific area. It is illegal for one broker to discuss or quote you an exact fee or commission especially in a fiorumn such as this. Realtors are bound by the Sherman Anti Trust law so anyone who quotes a commisison online like this could be in trouble. You can do a couple of things, simply ask them what their fee is what you will receive for it or if you want to make them an offer of what you will pay, call local brokers, ask what they charge, they can tell you over the phone what they charge, just not what others charge and bas eyour offer of commission on that. good luck with your sales ... more
