You can take the Shore Line East train from Branford and change for the Metro North in New Haven. Benefit: parking is free and easier in Branford, but you have the cost of the train (still cheeper then parking fee in New Haven). If you need flexibility regrding time, you can drive into New Haven and park in the garage next to the train station. I live on the Shoreline and often take the Shore Line train:

I would guess that only the MLS Listing is an actual counter, moving forward with each day;
When a listing is transferred to an Internet site, there is no counter to keep moving; it simply shows the number of days at the time that the listing was posted.
This would be another reason to check with a local Realtor regarding the Listing; the Internet Posting might show 30 days, but the actual DOM might be 90.
