Good norming, TJL, as realtors we can't answer that question. Everyone's tolerance for crime is different. Do you have a house in mind? I know of a home in the Hopeville section, that is being rehabbed as we speak with in law potential and isn't on the market, yet. Have you been prequalified for a mortgage or will you be paying cash? If you would like more info, please contact me.

Gail....Ocean View Street is right off of Lighthouse Road. Surrounding streets are Clifford Terrace, Shepard Ave., Morris Ave. and Meadow View Street just to name a few. Ocean View is now a one-way street and you'll have to either drive down Morris Ave or Meadow View to get there.

I've lived in the area most of my life so if you have any other questions, I'd be happy to assist you.

The way a homes value iis determined is by getting a full appraisal done on the property. This can be done by the home owner, or by a bank if their is a banking finance transaction taking place. An appraisal is the only way to get the true value of your home and the report is usually good for 90 days.

It depends on the time of year. The Spring and Summer markets are the most active months and rentals can go quite quickly. Other factors: Is it an annual rental? Furnished or unfurnished? North or south end of town? Does it have AC? Beach rights? ... more

Like it's name implies, there is a business area you have to travel through to get to this condo. Once you get past the business section, the area does become less developed. The unit itself is a good size at just under 1100 sq ft, looks amazing, and has a garage, which a lot of townhouse units don't have. This is a great location if you want to be close to shopping, dining, movies, etc. You would be about 10 minutes from the highways.
I don't think this condo development is FHA approved so you would need to speak with a mortgage professional to see what your options are if you aren't paying cash.
As a Waterbury resident, I would be happy to show you around Waterbury.so that you could decide which area you feel the most comfortable in. For more information or to schedule a tour of the greater Waterbury area, please give me a call. My cell is 347-556-0014.

Ruth

Hello Chinh,
From what I can decipher from the crime report that Trulia has posted; it seems that some residents in the neighborhood called the police regarding suspicious persons or activity in the area. I'm not certain but perhaps there is a "neighborhood watch" system in place.
I suggest that you contact the Wallingford police department to find out first-hand what the crime activity is in the area.

Best wishes!

You may want to call each school directly to ask them about their programs. Good luck!

You can contact the listing agent who will be able to help you learn more about that specific property (and probably will know a lot about similar properties in the area). To find an agent, just click on the yellow button on the property's Trulia listing and you will be able to start a dialogue.

Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can help with anything else. I am happy to be a resource for you. Good luck with the search!

Jody,
When you apply, explain your plans to the loan officer. A pre-approval can be based on meeting criteria, such as paying off credit debt and/or present mortgage. You will need to show the lender a likely selling price for your home, not the optimistic one, and the balance of your mortgage(s).
So, yes it is possible and even common.
