Work with a local Realtor who has knowledge of the neighborhoods and area that you are interested in - that's how to find out all of the information about homes that might be of interest to you. All of the Realtors work off of the same MLS and working with a Realtor you will be able to receive updated and accurate information. The Real Estate websites that you find on line are often not dependable on the the information provided. In most cases, the commission is paid by the Seller so why not call a Realtor today!

You will likely need to show "proof of funds" which can generally be a printout of your bank statement (be sure to black out your account number) with the required balance in your account. There are a lot of cash transactions in Myrtle Beach.

Please let me know if I can help you in any way! Good luck!

Yes there are several senior communities. Some are very active but also have higher HOA fees. Myrtle Trace is reasonable. I'm working with several 50plus clients now. Please let me know if I can help you in your search!

You have to figure how much the taxes will be on the home after it is retired vs the taxes on the land and the property tax on the mobile home which will be paid separately if not retired. Over the years, it might be worth it or not. ... more

We have HOAs foreclosing on properties for past due HOA fees here. They can legally place a lien against your property also. The HOAs generally get notified if the bank is foreclosing. The HOA has no obligation to notify the bank it is foreclosing. ... more

Brian, the best step to take is to speak with a representative from your bank and complete the prequalification process to see if you qualify for a home loan and how much you qualify for. I have a beautiful move in ready 3 bedrm, 2 bath home with oversized 2 car garage right on the Myrtle Beach City and Horry County liine (means very low taxes- I'm paying under $300 a year! ) HOA is only $230 every 1/4! Nice Pool in HOA. 10 minutes to the ocean - just far enough away to feel safe from ocean flooding.

It is conveniently located (5 minutes to 3 malls, the movies, 10 minuesto airport. Golf courses within minutes. It's on a large corner lot,. Has a great tiled kitchen with top grade granite...I could go on, but it sounds like you may not want something in this range. $187,900, with so many extra's the list is a whole page! If you would like to see pix, email me or call. .

Now, if you would be interested in an inexpensive condo 2 bd, 2 bath in nearby Conway, 20 minutes to ocean. It is only $57,500. First floor, Open floor plan- all appliances including full size W & D! Totally refurbished, immaculate and looks brand new in small 48 unit condo community, just 1/2 a mile from 501 (and much better than a trailer!) : The condo is avaialable Monday 2-18-13. (now if you want to rent it instead, it's $725.00 per month with a 1 year lease.)

Believe it or not the tax record for that home states it is $29 a year. There must have been some reason it was so low. but it is a 2 bedroom home most homes in that neighborhood are 3-4 Bedrooms & there are only a handful of 2 bedrooms. If you need any additional information please feel free to contact me directly.
