Hi Momo,

I would have your agents broker give the broker of the other office a call to find out.

I am afraid that whatever has happened, you are not going to get this one if someone else's offer was accepted and is now in escrow. I hate to see these kind of things happen. You have got to be very frustrated.

Wishing you the best,

It just depends on the bank and the negotiator. It means you getting close. I think the last one with Chase at least another month.

The real estate market can be confusing without a pro helping you. If your home is listed, did you ask your agent to explain it to you? He/She should be able to provide that explanation, including comparisons and why others were higher and now are so much lower. The market has dropped since January, especially in the Inland Empire -- but it is certainly worth asking. In addition, has he/she given you any feedback either from themselves or other agents who have shown your property as to any small things you can do to make it more appealing? More desireable? I'm at a top agent retreat for C21 this weekend in Florida and found a program that lists your property and gives the buyer the option of digitally changing the color of walls, flooring, cabinets, etc. -- I'm going to look into it when I get back in town Tuesday. Sorry you're confused. If you need help and don't have an agent, feel free to email me at Bonnie@BonnieTheRealtor.com. Good luck! ... more

You can scour the county records for recent sales. A much easier way is to contact your local agent and ask them to print a few comps for you. If you've worked with them in the past, they'll be happy to help you. ... more

Nah, you're not stuck there forever. Assuming good comps (and I'd have to see your agent's methodology to comment on that), it sounds like you need to lower your price or wait it out. Really, everything before the last three months counts as much as the Dark Ages, so don't count those. Feel free to contact me directly if you need more help or have a specific question. I can be reached at sean.giorgianni@gmail.com or 951-571-9229. Thanks for the opportunity to help! ... more

Linette Carroll answered:
There is no way of knowing what the market will do in a few years. What we know is that right now is a buyers market and it is a good time to buy a home if you can afford to. Interest rates are low and home prices are reasonable. Buyers have much more leverage than they have had in years and can negotiate things like settlement help, buy downs, and lower prices. Good luck if you decide to buy. You are lucky to be buying in such a market. ... more
