As far as I'm concerned it is. Especially in the daytime but also at night. Midtown Sacramento is pretty safe in general. I walk around in midtown day and night pretty regularly (mostly on the weekends).

Start by finding an agent in your area. Purchasing an REO/Foreclosure is an easy process and not unlike purchasing a home from a traditional seller, only in this case you're buying the home from the bank.

I'm right up the road, give or take 80-miles. Call me or e-mail me, if I can help with a referral. I lived in SAC for a spell, and know the town well.

There are obviously some fantastic deals to be had, and it's a great city to live in.

Good luck,

Those are the zip codes. If you want to expand out South Land Park is in 95822. Rather than search the entire zip you might want to view area west of Freeport. MLS members can draw the map search precisely. I don't think it is available on the public side of the site yet. A small area of nice older homes is the Woodlake section between Arden and highway 160. It is in 95815,

Also you might look around T street, just north of the UC Davis Med Center. -- I can't add any entire zip codes for you and still keep your commute to Natomas and Midtown under 15 minutes.

Town and country (95821) and Arden (95825 and 95864) Areas are nice but then your commute to both your midtown haunts and Natomas job start to stretch out to twenty minutes or longer some days.

You are correct about the approximate amount in Zone X.

A local insurance company should be able to give you a quote on AR, they will need information on the home you are planning to buy.

If you have not identified a home yet, let them know and give them your approximate parameters for purchase.

Best of luck
