Hi litlshopr,

Salisbury is a great area to live at however Salisbury University is located there and a few miles down you have University of Maryland Eastern Shore located. If you like more suburban/ rural area, then this would be great for you. With that being said, if your looking for a area with great shopping, job oppurtunities, you might want to look into the DC Metro areas such as Northern Virginia, Montgomery County, and Prince Georges county You really close to DC and the Northern Virginia area with ample job oppurtunites and stores. If you have any questions feel free to contact me

Edith Karoline Jasser answered:
Where, in order to find out about schools you need to have an area of interest or a particular property in mind to first find out which schools this home feeds into, and then you need to do your research by
either visiting the schools, and or read the school reports on the internet, and remember each students needs are different so as a parent you need to make those decisions.

By the way Realtors cannot tell you that one school is better or not as good as another, as this may be interpreted as steering buyers out of or into a certain area, which is against the law. You can find
school reports and college information on the internet and do your research that way, a local Realtor may be of assistance in providing you with specific school report sites.

Good Luck
I hope this helps...

Hi Raven,

Property tax records are public information that can be viewed on-line. This is generally a real estate forum for asking questions about properties and transactions.

I would recommend checking in the public records. Talk with the city/town if you are having trouble identifying the plot and I'm sure they can help you. The tax assessor is probably a good place to start. Some times the information is right online. ... more

Hi Margaret,

There is a great website to help you answer those questions. You can choose your address and do a search within a certain perimeter and can choose different date ranges to give you a good overall feel for crime activity in the area. As for the demographics on age, I am not familiar with any sites that break those down to the building level. Best of luck in your home search! ... more
