Hello Vancouver,

Normally in LA the property taxes are 1.25% of the price YOU paid for the property.
for other areas, you should contact either a realtor or an escrow company in that area.
closing costs for a normal transaction should run about 3% of the purchase price, but it depends on small variables. Ask your agent.

"Hip, up and coming" is relative. Someone on the westside might view Los Feliz/SilverLake/Echo Park as up and coming, while most Eastsiders know those areas have been coming up for years. They ARE hip, no matter where you're coming from. :) Price can be deceiving in the MLS because Atwater Village is lumped in with Los Feliz, and Atwater sells much lower. ... more
