In some states tax and land records are available online. I would start by doing a google search for your states land records. Another way would be to actually research the land records by hand. Realtors in your area should also have access to tax records via their local MLS system. Based on the fact the house has been vacant for so long I doubt it is a foreclosure. sINCE YOUR COMMENT ABOUT THE SCHOOLS WE HAVE HAD AN DOWN RIGHT DELIBERATE EXPOSURE TO ASBESTOS AT THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. A WALL WAS HIT BY SOME SNOW REMOVAL EQUIPMENT AND THIS DEADLY {SAFE} MATERIAL CAME POURING OUT OF THE WALL AND THE CHILDREN AT THAT SCHOOL WERE ALLOWED TO PLAY WITH IT. NO ONE KNOWS HOW MANY CHILDREN AND WHICH ONES WERE PLAYING WITH IT. AS FOR WHY THE EPA LIES AND SAYS IT IS SAFE? I DO NOT HAVE THE ANSWER BUT DURING THIS CLEAN UP THEY ARE GETTING LOTS OF MONEY. IF IT IS SO SAFE THEN WHY DO THE CLEAN UP? BAUCUS BLAMES THE EPA, THE EPA BLAMES OUR LOCAL GOVERNMENT. I BLAME THEM ALL. NO ONE IS PROTECTING OUR CURRENT WORKERS GIVING THEIR LIVES TO CLEAN UP THIS COMMUNITY IS EXPOSED DAILY. COMPLAIN ABOUT EXPOSURE... TO WHOM!!!! NO ONE CARES THEY ARE ALL TALK AND PR. WAIT ISNT THAT WHAT THE EPA THINKS BAUCUS IS. I PERSONALLY THINK THEY ALL ARE A BUNCH OF PR. NOT ONE CAN SPEAK THE TRUTH. ONE SAYS THERE IS NO PRESIDENT ON HOW TO REMOVE THIS TYPE OF ASBESTOS, I SAY YOU HAD BETTER USE THE STANDARDS FROM WASHINGTON BECAUSE RIGHT NOW WE ARE SPREDING THIS STUFF MORE NOW THEN WHAT WE DID BEFORE THE CLEAN UP BEGAN. I CAN TAKE YOU TO PLACES THAT HAVE BEEN DEEMED CLEAN TO SHOW YOU THIS IS UNTRUE. THEY HAVE BEEN PROVEN WRONG AGAIN AND AGAIN. WHY ARE THEY STILL HERE. WE WORKED FOR THE DEVIL {WRGRACE} NOW WE WORK FOR ANOTHER DEVIL {EPA, ER ETC....} ANY ABATEMENT, LAB, AGENCY THAT IS UNWILLING TO CLEAN IT UP 100%. IF THAT STATEMENT COULD EVER BE POSSIABLE. WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN BOUGHT OUT AS ONCE THOUGHT. I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN THE HELL OUT OF DODGE. BUT THEN AGAIN THE EPA WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO MAKE ALL THIS MONEY WOULD THEY HAVE. OH WE WERE ONE OF THOSE INNOCENT PEOPLE THAT MOVED HERE NOW WE HAVE GRANDCHILDREN HERE. I PRAY THAT SOMEONE WOULD APPROACH ME WITH THAT BY OUT MONEY SINCE I CAN NOT SELL MY HOME!!!! ... more
