I read your first question yesterday, it is my understanding and the Sr. Loan Officer that I work with concers, inquiries made for a mortgage do not adversely affect your credit scores. Inquiries made by merchants, or opening new lines of credit or card accounts do have an adverse affect on your credit score. To answer your question, a new mortgage lender would want to pull your credit again. I'm curious as to why you're considering a change?
There is an easy and simple solution. Get a pre-approval letter by a trusted, local lender. That lender will be able to keep that pre-approval letter for you for quite some time. They will simply make the pre-approval subject to re verification of your credit. Once you find the home of choice and get the contract ratified, you will then reapply with that lender or any other lender for your choice.
