Hello R, and thanks for your question.

It seems that the homeowners association (if they sent this note to you) may have forwarded this request to you by mistake. Typically, a homeowners association may request tenant information if the homeowner is renting the home. However, I've not heard of a tenant letter being requested of a homeowner.

Can you give me more information, and perhaps I can help you out?

1. Who sent this letter to you?
2. What exactly was being requested? Did the sender include a form?
3. Was there any mention of a reason for requesting the information?

Let me know, and I'll see I can help you make sense of the request.
