The short answer is, yes. Nationally, home prices have risen.

The more complete answer would be that in some segments of certain locations prices are going back up to more normal levels. It depends a lot on the location, the type of home and the price range. ... more

There is not a lot of oceanfront available at the moment. There are two lots that meet your initial criteria. The amount of land available varies greatly but the average is a little over $1mil per square foot. Are you looking for a lot for a single home or are you looking for development purposes?

I am a local Realtor in the Jensen Beach area and I would be happy to assist you in finding the right property to meet your needs. Please feel free to contact me via email or my cell - anytime. I am very knowledgeable of the area and offer a no pressure approach to real estate. Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask me directly.

Warm regards,

there is public transportation in martin county. It is a bus service that comes directly to your door and drives you to where you want to go. I believe the cost is 1.00 per ride. this may have gone up. you must reserve the service days in advance. there are a couple of regular bus routs around down town stuart and the treasure coast mall also. In general most people with out vehicles ride bikes around Jensen beach, there are lots of side walks and bike paths around the city. ... more

Have you tried to get in touch with a local realtor? Most rentals can be found in local MLS. The services of the agents representing renters should be of no charge to you. THe agents are compensated by the landlords.
You can try to search on your own-on various real estate websites, but you would need to know the addresses or name of communities to be able to distinguish them. Good luck!

Sjks,

Having been from Jacksonville to Key West and Naples to Pensacola and most points in between I know the state very well. There are some amazing places to call home but many differences in weather, lifestyle and landscape; Jensen Beach and Stuart are great locations if you are looking for lower price points and water access but typically not as upscale as Jupiter. The best place I can point you is a brief blog I did about the Jupiter area;

http://tompriester.wordpress.com/2010/06/04/jupiter-rocks/

As a resident of Jupiter, I work throughout Palm Beach and Martin Counties, and a great place to start is by defining your goals and comparing the lifestyles and housing costs of areas that you are interested in. There are so many different options available to us that reside in the state and I have selected Jupiter because of the quality of life that we enjoy. From my viewpoint, there is no finer place to reside that the Jupiter area; from the best schools, to a fantastic economy fueled by many factors and of course the wonderful facilities of Max Planck and Scripps Institute, to incredible unspoiled beaches, unbelievable dining and shopping options, numerous boating and golf opportunities, uncrowded streets, low crime and just the overall kindness of our residents. Just recently we were out with a client from New York who commented on just how nice everyone is; and why not as we are truly lucky to live in Paradise.

I work almost entirely as a buyers agent in Palm Beach and Martin Counties and certainly would be honored to be on the list of Realtors® you interview and happy to be of assistance in any way that I can. If you are in the area and would like a tour I would enjoy showing you why I am so fortunate to call Jupiter my hometown.

I hope this information is helpful but if you need anything additional please do not hesitate to give me a call.

Smokey,

The entire mixed used development known as Renar Riverplace has been quite the fiasco and I believe Bank of America foreclosed on the residential units last year. They are currently on the market again with list prices of $150,000 for the 3 bedroom/3 bathroom units featuring 1,747 livable square feet. I am not aware of any issues of Chinese Drywall in the community.

It also sounds like a great new restaurant, Tony Roma's will be moving into commercial space in the community early next year. They will join the successful; Kaishin restaurant.

If you would like to schedule a time for a private tour of these homes please feel free to contact me at your convenience.

John,

I don't believe you're going to see these deductions end, but who knows! If they do end, it should not have a major impact on Jensen Beach condos. The prices are fairly depressed now and will most likely go down more in at least the foreseeable future. Just too much supply and not enough demand.

Compared to insurance/HOA and property tax costs, the deductions from mortgage interest and property tax (if any) are fairly minor and I just don't' see a major impact on prices because of this.
