Hello Trulia Jacksonville,

Having a credit score of 740 or more should qualify for the best mortgage rates from most lenders.

You can also buy points to lower your interest rate.

I hope this helps!

Kitchen, bath and curb appeal. You do not get a second chance with a first impression. The Buyer will never see the beauty and comfort inside the home if the entry is not inviting. Kitchen and bath are where most time and energy are spent. Lots of money does not have to be spent to achieve the affect. Bright, and neat go a long way. I love staging and make sure the photos taken of the home bring Buyers in to see more, to touch, experience what could be their next home. Call me for more! ... more

Hopefully a local realtor or appraiser will answer your question. The one thing about real estate that always rings true, it is local, very local!

Good luck, if you ever decide to check out Florida... I'm the one to help you!

Hi Mattie,
Frank and I have been doing short sales since before there was a term for it. I also do foreclosure listings, so have resources for cleaning up, boarding up, etc. If it is not in our area, we could recommend someone who could help you.

Please email to sharon@teamalters.com or call or text 904-673-2308 so we can discuss your property. We also used to live in Atlanta and were married there before moving here.

Please let us know if we can help you.

Kris everyones situation is different. you should meet with a local agent who can tell you what your house is worth in todays market. Weigh what you would get today compared to what you may get in 1-2 or 5 years from now. Renting can be rewarding but also risky if you get a bad tenant who does not pay or wrecks the place. If you rent, make sure you check the tenant properly to get a good one. ... more

Jeff Metcalf answered:
Ms. Scott,

In my opinion, part of our jobs as REALTORS(R) is to be mind readers. I don't wait for my customers/friends/family to ask questions. I try to think of everything that could be weighing on their mind (and believe me there is a lot when they are at this point) and I lay it all out. If you have a REALTOR(R) that is in tune with you and your family and they truly care about helping you through a seemingly difficult process, your questions (especially those concerning your options) should all be answered with thorough detail.
