Aloha Frank,

Mahalo for your question. That is a question that can be answered most accurately by our "local" Hawaii County Police Department. Their web site is http://www.hawaiipolice.com/ our county (Hawaii) website http://www.hawaiicounty.gov/ also has additional information you may find helpful.

What you may find useful in deciding in where/what it is like to live on our Island, is to work with an local agent in helping answer specific questions about not just this, but "what's it like to live in Mt View" and how is it different than the Puna area...they both are only about an half an hour's drive from each other, but two very distinct "areas" of our Island.

I would love to help answer any questions you may have about the Mountain View/Kurtistown area. You'll find my contact information below. I would be happy to provide a "local" perspective to help understand what our lovely Island has to offer....Galyn

Aloha Sandra,

Contact your insurance provider for the names of authorized dialysis clinic providers. Different care plans authorize different providers/clinics. They will need to preauthorize you or the patient for care.
There are several on the island now.

If you are considering a local purchase, it's best to contact a local agent. I can recommend a few if you like.

Brian McCourt, REALTOR (B) answered:
Some of the older deeds in this subdivision indicate that the 3-acre lots were created in 1978, and some of them were first sold in 1979. Unless it has been changed since then, the street name would therefore probably have been assigned in 1978. I have seen "Apela" defined as "old" or "aged."

The tenpature, heat and humidity levels are basically the same from Ocean point to kapolei. If you want to find a cooler spot close by those areas to live consider Makakilo as it sits on the mountain looking down over Kapolei and the Ewa beach plains. It is usually up to 10 degrees cooler up there with a nice breeze pretty much daily. I have lived in Makakilo for over 20 years and LOVE it ! In fact where I am now I dont even need an air conditioner at all!!!
You can contact me for all of your realestate needs and questions !

Many homes in this area are off grid depending on there distance from main road, they are powered by solar, or generator/ battery combination,or hawaii electric, sewage is usually a cesspool, a builder friend of mine said he has never in 40 year seen anyone have to clean out cesspool, water for showers and home needs is done by catchment from roof which needs about a cup of bleach per month to keep bacteria from growing, hot water can be produced by an on demand propane water heater, and drinking water is available for free from city/ county wells at different locations on the main road, there are county garbage collection sites on main road free of charge, my cost off grid for propane fridge, on demand water heater gas for generator is around 100$ i am not sure about hawaii electric but have heard it can be expensive. ... more

Aloha,

As with any home, it's best to drive to the house, look around, talk to the neighbors, etc.
It's always best to see it for yourself, rather than rely on opinions.

aloha,

here's a link on "WOODLAWN TERR-MELEMANU"

http://www.thehawaiistatecondoguide.com/oahu/WOODLAWNTERR-MELEMANUWOOD.html.

this link will provide detail information and at a quick glance:

1) owner-occupany is only 23 % and this percentage indicates that the residents in this complex are renters

2) the property is located outside of the town called 'wahiawa - 96786' and adjacent to the wheeler army airfield and although the neighborhood may be considered 'mililani - 96789', the property location is closer to wahiawa than mililani.

hope this helps and it is more factual information and one would have to interviews resident of WOODLAWN TERR-MELEMANU to answer and/or get a better response to your question.

have nice days.

mahalo,

Clark
