Hello, this area is the perfect opposite to desert living. While we have some condo's you can easily find a 2-bed, 2-bath house that will perhaps suit your needs. Please visit www.340MadroneMeadow.com as an example of a great location, great views and the amenities of The Sea Ranch. We look forward to meeting you and give you a tour of the area. There are many micro-climates in and around Gualala.....so there is no simple answer.

First, our fog season usually begins end of May to end of June and runs through about September. While others are broiling during peak of summer heat, we are usually cool.

There are offshore wind events with high pressure systems that take away our natural air conditioning, but this usually only lasts for 2 to 5 days before the cool and fog returns.

We can and do have fog other times of the year as well, but not excessively so.

For those usually foggy days in summer, here is what many times will happen: wake up to fog in morning which will burn back to the immediate coast by noontime. Fog may linger there most the rest of the day or it may burn back to a couple miles offshore. Then, about 11 p.m. or so, the fog creeps back in to start the cycle over. This is common, but there are many exceptions as well.

Cherie: Two years ago the unemployment rate in Sonoma County, and Mendocino County California, was only 5.6% and now it is slightly over 10%.

The best way to get a job anywhere is through a reference. Do you know someone there that can refer you name and or give your resume to some employer you wish to work for?

If not go there and get to know the local people by attending some of their community functions and make some friends before moving there. http://www.discoverourtown.com/CA/Gualala/Relocation-3625.html

Gualala is an art friendly and also a toursit community with obviously water attraction and river rafting:

Check out Trip Advisor and go to some of the tourist attractions and talk to the employees.

If you are looking for any entry level job and don't have specific skills get your American Red Cross, First Aid Certificate and your American Red Cross CPR certificate. You can get these each in one day and it will give help you if you are looking to get a job at one of the water tourist attractions.

Good Luck!
