What you are seeing is principle and interest on a conventional mortgage. If you are using a VA loan your payment will be more since you are not putting any money down. Also, you will still need to add taxes and insurance to get your total payment. If tjere is a property in particular you are interested in let me know and I can estimate the total monthly payment for you using your VA eligibility. ... more

Hello Sam,

Melaine Loy from Real Estate Salutions of Great Falls and speaking on the Realtor side, this is usually the last step for completing your loan and from my experience the Loan Officer is in the waiting mode as well so they probably don't have much to report. With that said, if you are not feeling like you are getting enough information, just ask until you feel comfortable with the explanation. Not knowing how long it has been since you have talked to your LO, I would have to say this probably isn't a bad sign but I would expect they would keep you updated often. You can also visit my website at REALESTATESALUTIONS.COM and find information on the home buying process that may address this issue. Good luck and be Positive...

Hello Paul,

My name is Melaine Loy and I am the Broker/Owner Of Real Estate Salutions of Great Falls. I came to Geat Falls via Malmstrom as well and retired in 2001. Our office is located less than a mile outside the gate and I enjoy helping military families. There are a lot of options for you and it really depends on how far from the base you want to be and the price range you are looking in. We have lots of old homes and plenty of newer and new construction. No where in Great falls is more than 15 -20 minutes from the base. I would be more than willing to help you with your moving details and help you get familiar with the Great Falls area and the homes available in your price range. I will post my website for you and my contact information is available. I hope to hear from you the two of you soon. Thanks

That is a good question, I'm not sure. Your banker you have been visiting with about financing would be the best one to ask this question.

I can put you in the right direction is you are looking at NW Montana, including Kalispell, Polson, Whitefish, Eureka, Columbia Falls, Libby... etc. If you are moving to a different part of the state just let me know what that part is and I can hook you up there as well.
