Paying off collections would not lower your score, it would raise it. Closing an account may. You should have your loan officer go over it with you. Something else would have had to be reported as negative. ... more

Amy: this is a safe neighborhood. This particular block has many families with small children, as well there are several single adult only homes. A nice, quiet neighborhood, yet a friendly place to be! the homes are well kept. The last house to be re-modeled is the one I just purchased and I am in the process of a complete remopdel, including wiring and plumbing. ... more

Eia Management answered:
I would have to say YES, since there are always people out morning, noon and night. I
am there daily to work on the project, and feel very safe. I have family that lives on the block, and have been there for a number of years, which is why I felt comfortable and confidant in buying here.
From this property, go north on Hulen (at the corner), turn east on Camp Bowie. About 2 miles to downtown. Under 10 minute drive.

The best way to learn more about DFW area is to arrive this area and take a look at your options.

Bedford is not very close to Dallas bar areas although you can live in Bedford close to your office and go to Fort Worth bar areas or Dallas bar areas. They both are very nice, some people like Fort Worth while the others like Dallas...One of the biggest bar Billy Bob's Texas is in Fort Worth that you will enjoy TX style night life ;)

Chris Hutchinson answered:
It may take a little searching but you can still find rental if you filed bankruptcy. You may want to determine what part of town you at willing to move to first. This way you can determine if your rent range is right for the area.

You need to know that landlords will require double te security deposit due to your credit in most scenarios. So make sure you have the money saved.
You want to be up front with the landlord and the agent you work with otherwise you can waste a small fortune in application fees.
Make sure you earn well over the amount requires to live in the property. You gross monthly income should be at least 3 times the rent.
Get rental references in order. Make sure you have pervious landlords vouch for you. If you owned and your mortgage was paid on time bring proof of payment receipts.

Good luck. Renting after bankruptcy can be done but you need to have all all your stuff in order.

Foreclosure put you out of mortgage qualification for 3yrs from the 'foreclosed' date.... not when it went into foreclosure... but when title actually changed hands.
What to do now? Make sure credit is perfect since this significant credit event.

I have an e-book about credit. Email me and I will send you a free copy no obligation.
