funny you should as as I came out of the flooring industry into Real Estate :O)

As a general rule, Tile is the way to go; followed by wood. I would caution you about wood in the kitchen, but it is done all the time. Stay away from laminates. laminates are junk, i dont care what anyone else says. I have seen too many issues with laminate that at the end of the day it is not worth it. Also keep in mind that by the time you get all of the add ons for laminate it is almost the same price as just doing wood. (wood will still be more, but on fractionally).

At the end of the day, it really depends on what you are using the house for. If you are renting out the property, go with tile. If you are using it as a second home do what you want. If you are just trying to sell it, put in an inexpensive tile and blow it out the door :O)


Flooring makes a difference and it can really be the differnce of a sale. let me know if you have any questions at all as this is really right up my alley and I can help you with the process from selection to selling the property if you need that as well.

In this type of economy I think you have a lot of negotiating power. Businesses and contractors are very eager to get your business.
