well that's a bit of a loaded question in that everyone's perceptions are different. Let's start with what are you looking for in housing: rent or purchase, single family or condo, must you rely on public transportation or do you drive, number of beds and bathrooms. What neighborhood amenities do you want to have, near a park or walking distance to stores? That will start us out. For example, If you are looking to rent and don't have a car then that limits you from certain areas that are not on a bus line or homes are owner occupied.

If you are looking for an area with fairly reasonable slips and nice house, please let us help you. For information on crime, I would suggest contacting the local police department to get a sense of problems in the last couple of years. There are web sites that can be quite alarmist.

Good morning Livio,
Unfortunately US and Connecticut law forbids real estate agents from categorizing some neighborhoods as "better" or "worse." Besides, a "better" neighborhood for some may not be seen as such to others. We can certainly give factual information on school testing results on standardized exams and also the Stamford Police Department has statistics on crime rates for all parts of Stamford. You can discuss further with your agent once you are touring the City with them. For preliminary information on schools please visit and for the police department please visit
Thank you, Mark

It would probably be best to contact a few different insurance agencies for quote and specifics.

There are some very good local agencies that have been here in town many years.

Jacob's Lane and Country Way have a high concentration of higher end properties, most under a million, and easily double or triple that in other nice towns.

I am not 100% sure, but are you in Connecticut? If so, and your credit scores are high enough, and your purchase price is below $1 million (of course your income has to qualify), we have a lender we work with who offers the 10% second on a purchase. We are based in Stamford, CT. Assuming the above, we can get the first and second for you. Contact me through my profile. I am licensed in CT. ... more

Hello Benefactor,
The home at 69 Sedgwick sold in December 2010 for $1,290,000 and previously sold in December 2009 for $409,000 to Traditional Building LLC. It was torn down in 2010 and rebuilt as a colonial style home with Greek revival architecture.
You can check the tax assessor's office in Darien to find out the current owner.

Hope that helps.

Hello Good Charlotte,
There are no photos of 68 Saint George Ave. in Stamford because the home currently is not for sale. Old expired information about the home still exists on the Trulia site for some reason even though the photos are removed.

Hello Jgubs,
There are quite a few rentals available in central Greenwich off the main street (Greenwich Ave.) that are within walking distance to the train. Depending upon your price range, there are condos and units available within multi-family homes.
Please, feel free to contact me to discuss your needs and desires as then I could send you some rental homes to view on-line.
Thank you,
