Hi Liz
If your on the Cape I'd be happy to make an appointment to see it with you. ITLC can mean so many things from interior remodel to a new roof and painting. Let me know if you'd like to see it in person.

Cape is a great area to raise a family, if you are interested in South Plymouth it is also nice. The commute for schools on and off Cape are roughly the same, you will have to drive further to stores in Plymouth depending on where you are located, but both areas are nice. Let me know what you are looking for and I can email you what is available in your price range.

Thank You,

Hi there,

Both are nice areas, and I think the question of which is "better" depends on what your interests are. West Falmouth has beautiful beaches and and old Cape Cod feel. East Sandwich is more of a year-round residential area. If a property doesn't fit your lifestyle, it's always too much money. If all things truly are equal to you, however, I can tell you that the median and average sale prices for the past 6 months (and historically) are higher in West Falmouth. However, when compared to the same 6 month period in 2008, East Sandwich actually went up slightly this year, while West Falmouth declined. (West Falmouth was still higher, but the gap was greater in 2008.)

Call me at 508-534-7191 or email me at BeattyMcGovern@kw.com, and I will get you the data for comparison.

Good luck!

Let's just say that there are a lot of good deals out there right now in Sandwich. Sure, some are bank owned and some are short sales but the majority are decent buys ahd should be investigated. The Army base is not a concern to most buyers. There is an on-going effort to clean up some plumes that can be traced back to the base and this effort is going very well. The future of our water table looks very much more promising. While the cleanup is going on we realtors must inform you of the plume clean-up efforts in the towns of Sandwich, Bourne, Mashpee and Falmouth. You can investigate the issue on your own but we can help point you in the right direction. If you are looking at East Sandwich, let me say that you are about as far away from the cleanup area as possible and still be in Sandwich. While there are a lot of private beaches where housing complexes have been built on the North side of Route 6a, there are also two town beaches, one just outside of the town center (Town Neck) and the other at the far eastern end of East Sandwich (Sandy Neck). Sandy Neck is actually in West Barnstable. The beaches are very nice and welcoming. You should give East Sandwich a try in terms of looking around for a second home. In addition to a very good quality of life we also enjoy the easy access to off cape facilities along the south shore and in Boston itself which is only an hour away. Good luck and happy hunting. ... more
