Angie,

With a recently discharged bankruptcy you will most likely be unable to obtain a mortgage at this time. Depending on the type of loan the wait period is 2 or more years after bankruptcy unless there are extenuating circumstances such as a death of a wage earner.

Good Luck,

Paying all cash.

If you have the cash to buy, no one cares about your credit.

If you need to borrow even a small portion of the amount, it could be a problem.

Technically, you can have no credit score and buy a home. However, a 500 score is probably going to be the lowest allowed score by a lender - for FHA loans. If you need help, you are welcome to call me and go over your credit profile.
