Depending on how far west you are willing to come, Basking Ridge, Bedminster and Bridgewater are three great choices and there are options - with basements. All are in Somerset County and have good access to highways.

Here to help if Somerset County plays into your plans....

The Athenia section is fairly stable right now with the pricing of a 3 bedroom 1 bath cape somewhere between $250,000 and $325,000 depending on condition. Athenia has always been a sought after area with well priced homes having an approximate on market time of 60-90 days. ... more

Speak to a lender to find out if you can borrow money and how much. Then speak to a Realtor about what that amount can buy in the area you want to live. Go from there.

Don Tepper answered:
You may have difficulty finding someone "to provide access to the MLS." I don't know what the requirements of the MLS in your area are. But where I am (Washington metro area), you have to be an agent, appraiser, or some other approved category to access the MLS. If someone were to simply give you their user name and password, they could lose their MLS privileges.

It is possible for a non-licensed individual to be an agent's "assistant" and gain access, but the criteria are still strict. In short, you may have a problem gaining direct access.

One suggestion: Check with the investors you work with. They undoubtedly use real estate agents when selling their properties. Ask them for some suggestions. That'll do two things: (1) Help you quickly locate investor-friendly agents, and (2) Give you a lot more credibility when you try to wholesale a deal to investors. If the investor already uses that agent (or is familiar with that agent and has confidence in his/her abilities), then that investor is far more likely to trust the comps generated by that agent.

Hope that helps.

I don't know if this will answer your question, but I'm trying.

When I show a house with 4+ bedrooms, it is always to a large family. Ok, with me so far?

And if that house has fewer than 2 full baths, they would turn on their heels and walk out! Guaranteed!!

Does that help?

It seems that there were a LOT of homes built during the boom years 1950 - 1975 that had either 1 or 1 1/2 baths. And I am amazed at how many of them cannot be modified (easily or cheaply) to have 2 full baths.
I cannot imagine a big family now-a-days living with that. When I was a kid; sure, all the time!

Good luck and may God bless

This is research that you will have to do on your own, here is where you would start: http://www.state.nj.us/treasury/taxation/lpt/taxrate.shtml

Once you've found the lowest taxes, try using this website to find the lowest mortgage rates: http://sjrates.com

Kudos to you for doing your homework before you buy!!!

Hi Miriam,
Go to My listings (click the down arrow by your name in top right corner), on the listing you want to change click the 'edit listing details', on the left you will see open house times, click on that and then click the x beside the times to delete it. Hope that helps.

Miranda
