The nearest train station is about 3/4 mile away at North and Sedgwick. However most people in this are take the various bus options that stop practically right in front of the building. The 22, 36 or 151 buses which would be about 25 minutes door to door to the loop.

Beware that this building has a big special assessment pending. Guessing it could be $20-30K for this unit.

I see it as a good value as long as someone else is footing the special.

If I can help you let me know.

The totally corrupt city government under Daly used the lump sum payment it received to pay down the unending city debt for 1 year so it would not look quite as ugly. That is it...........all the money went out the window and we lost yet another annual income stream making it even more difficult, assuming anyone even cared, to try to balance our budget. Then he increased his pension because.................well......... because he could. ... more

Bottom, line don't make yourself an easy target. Limit the bag you carry to 1 & make sure it's a cross body bag. If you carry a purse, carry a small one & place it inside your bag. Keep your cell in a front/outside pocket, preferrably one that you can access easily, not that someone else a zipper pocket. If you must be on your phone, put it away immediately after use, no ipads, no ipods. Don't wear jewelry on the bus/train. Sit as close as possible to an exit door just in case you need to exit for any reason. If on the 'L try to get on a car that has a lot of people, if you don't feel safe, move to another car. And most of all pay attention. Hope this helps. ... more

I would suggest Mapping it out with Googlemaps and then following the directions. GPS systems don't work well downtown as the large buildings distort the cellular satellite signals

Hi Nat

Searching for properties only by "el" stops gets a little tricky. 2 Options
1) Use a Map Based Search like Trulia or Zillow and see which homes pop up. Problems are that not every home for sale is listed on these sites. I'm not too sure on the stats but I would say at least they are missing 35% of all active listings

2) Best Bet- Ask a Realtor. We have access to the MLS database and have the ability to narrow down searches- Plus it will show you 100% of homes listed not only a fraction.

I will be happy to send you a email of properties- Just let me know which "el" stops and price point.
