Take a look at what's available on Craig's List, that is where all property owners go to advertise their available rentals. You can get a pretty good idea of what your competition is doing by looking at other rentals in your area.

Another good site is . You can put in your bedroom count, prospective rent and see what this site says. I'm not sure if the other rents are just other people putting in their prospective rents or if these are real rents but it does give you an idea of what rents are in the area.

You'll also know when you put your available rental on CL. I had a vacancy recently, put it on CL on a Sunday morning and had to stop answering the phone that evening, it rang almost non-stop. I ended up having two showingstimes with lots of people there and rented the apartment in just a few days.

If you put a good ad on CL with photos and a good description and your phone is not ringing, your rent is too high.

Many times landlords can look past credit issues as long as you have never been evicted, have a good rental history and a good job. Write a cover letter to them with your application.

most condos (privately owned) include water, basic cable & trash removal - so all you need to pay is electric & internet etc…

Most apartment complexes charge separately for water, trash removal, cable etc…

so, be sure to ask what's included as it can vary from place to place.

good luck

HI there are some properties in that price range, it all depends where you want to be. I would say the $2000 will be better to work with. I have been working with other clients and there isn't much under $2000 that is in good shape. If you want my help just email me or call and I will send you properties available now. Dear Dipthi Gajar,
Check out and I believe you will see that Pleasanton overall has excellent schools based on their current API test scores. There are some that are slightly better than other but the majority of elementary schools are all rated highly and which school your children will attend will depend on the nearest schools ability to accept your child do to limited class sizes and impacting in some schools and school grade levels. If schools are your primary concern then I would suggest you find a school you like and then make certain they have room for your child and then locate a home in that attendance area.
I hope this helps and should you have additional questions or concerns or wish to discuss housing I would be glad to help
Best wishes for a successful relocation,

When looking for any type of rental, your best bet is Craigslist. 85% to 95% of all rentals leased in San Diego County are found using Craigslist. It is used to advertise rentals by owners, property management companies and agents alike.

They have a section just for vacation rentals, below is the link. In the search box, put the zip code and enter the rest of your parameters. There are boxes to check for the type of pets you have. Check often and call/e-mail right away as many rentals move quickly!

Best of luck to you,

How someone could believe that to begin with is beyond me.The actual rent is $2600. which is still low for the area but now thnks to this joker I am having even more trouble finding serious rentors. I need my listing pulled down ASAP. Can someone help direct me to the right email or phone to get this handled? ... more
