That area is busy, and not too good. I invest in the city, and run a tenant placement business. I don't get many people that want to live there.

Best way to find out about safety of a neighborhood is just check with local police station, they are the best one to give all the details about crime statistics. In my personal opinion, every neighborhood is safe and not safe, you have to protect yourself and be street smart. You can be living in the middle of city or far out in suburbia, you have to protect yourself. So, go and ask questions to neighbors, sit out in car at different times of day and check with local police station, you can even check on line stats as well.

Thanks Pam.

As Realtor's we are prohibited from telling potential buyers or sellers that an area is bad or that crime is bad unless we have a first hand experience or we live in the area. I have sold over 150 homes in the Washington Village area, or Pigtown as the locals call it. Many improvements have been made and homeowners have taken a stake in improving the community and making it great for everyone. I have found the residents to be friendly and helpful. If you are looking for information about crime statistics in the area I recommend visiting for information about the area, it's history and demographics and also for information about criminal activity in the neighborhood. I'd be happy to assist you in finding a home in the neighborhood.
