Hi! The entrance is safe. There is a wooden walk-way to gain access to the beach. There is also a dirt road which allows you to access the jetti area with a sport utility vehicle. It is a great location! I live on the Island and use this entrance several times a week. ... more

That is the bay block of Sacramento so it is close to the water but very rarely floods. I have lived on Sacramento near Ventnor Ave in a basement apartment for 16 years and have never had a problem with flooding. ... more

Disagree. The island's median sale price held steady for the first six months of 2012 against the same period in 2011 and total number of units sold were up by 20%. The quality of life is excellent and I am not saying this as a realtor but as a full time resident. We have an excellent police force and large beautiful beaches to enjoy without the crowds you get in OC or SIC. Your appreciation potential here is excellent because the island is not as over-built as OC or SIC and has much potential for future growth as can be evidenced by the increasing number of new construction starts we have seen over this past year. Think you need to come back for another look. Call me at 609-703-9093 (cell) unless you are under a buyer agency agreement with another agent. ... more

We live in EHT at Blackman and Ocean Heights, and we scoot over the bridge to Longport in a matter of minutes. You could also go to Ocean City in minutes. Ventnor is a nice beach. The boardwalk at Atlantic City is a bit farther but fun. In the summer my son goes to camp in Margate and I'd say that take me about 20 minutes to get there.

Margaret Steadman answered:
Hi Toni
I think you are referring to the Dolphin Cove complex (formerly Spartan Harbor). It is a pretty big complex and, historically, there have always been a fair number of units there. They are good properties for yearly rental or personal use. Not so much for summer rentals. There are some excellent value there now with one bedroom units starting in the 60K range. If you would like more information on these or any other Brigantine properties, please contact me at 609-703-9093 (cell) or I am a full time agent with over 20 years of sales experience. Best of luck! ... more

I'm not from PA, however, it might be good for you to spend a day in Abesecon, NJ. Walk around to the shops and cafes and talk to some of the owners or patrons and get an informal view from people who live there. In doing so you get first hand information. Also get information from someone who is not going to necessarily benefit from your information. You might also check with the Youth Court System in that area. They can determine what percentage of their crime related referrals are race versus other such as gangs and drugs. ... more

Do keep in mind that people often move for a variety of reasons, such as upsizing, downsizing, job relocation, financial reasons, move closer to family, etc. If you are looking to buy in the area, consider driving through the neighborhood-- get a sense of belonging, check out all that is important to you, speak to locals if the opportunity arises-- then make your determination, will your comfort level be reached. ... more

Dorest Ave. is one of the main connecting roads from the bay side to the ocean side of Ventnor, so actually It can get busy during the summer months. I was actually there yesterday and traffic was not heavy because of the weekday. The homes in this area seem very nice and well maintained. If you would like assistance with this or any other home, please call me at 609-870-0066. ... more
