The increase in foreclosures in most areas is a result of the moratoriums of last year that halt alot of fosreclosures. Unfortanately alot of homeswowe given or etime to get out of foreclosure did not. Now we are seeing homes who have not paid for 1 to 2 years. Thise foreclsoures are on teh fast trach to clear the market of them so we can begin to heal and recover. Once they are finished the amount of foreclsoures should decrease sharply. A good buyer broker who works with REO homes should be able to guide you in your area. ... more

Probably not. Most of the time escrows are established when the loan is set up. They probably will not allow you to do it after the fact. What you may want to do is set up a savings account at your local bank and put 1/12 th of your taxes and insurance in it each month. Then when you get the bill you will already have it in the bank to pay. In our area taxes are due no later than Dec.5 and I hate it because you have to pay a big bill right before Christmas. In some localities taxes are paid twice a year. Insurance on the other hand usually is once per year. Hope this is helpful----Sam Snead ... more
