Dear Wendy: You can contact the Assessor's office in Gold Beach (541-247-3294), and see if they have a record of the sale. Most often when a sale takes place, the change of ownership and amount paid is recorded, and the assessor has that information. At least within the past 10-20 years.

I live pretty close to this property, and happen to know that this property did change hands around that time, but it was not through the local multiple listing service. I hope this helps you.

Yes....we can get a "dusting." It's rare...so when it happens the town comes to a standstill and we all watch it cause it's going to melt soon. It more commonly snows in the mountains that surround our community....so we can often see snow in the distance but our town itself rarely receives snow. I hope that helps! ... more

Yes...Yes...and another hardy YES! We have deer everywhere. There are several "unofficial" cross-walks for the animals throughout Brookings and you'll often find them in your yard....certainly at the parks and they've taken up residence at our local golf course. If you like deer you'll LOVE Brookings! ... more

Hello Trish: The Oregon coast gets fog all times of the year, but you can get out of the fog by going east and it is usually about 5 miles or more out. So, once you hit that magic point you are usually in an area that has more sunshine and out of the "fog belt".
Thanks for asking!

What concerns do you have? Are you aware most of Brookings sits on a bluff some 70 feet + above sea level? Additionally, the entire town gradually migrates up and back into the hills/mountains behind the town. During the last Tsunami the only significant damage to our community was within the port facility (which is at sea level). I hope this helps.... ... more

You'll have to specify an address or the MLS number. Otherwise, it's almost impossible to identify the property.

This truly is paradise and a fabulous place to live and retire. I would say the thing people dont like is the lack of malls and shopping. We do have Fred Meyers and other shopping but not malls. ...not alot of variety. It is easy to shop on line and we do tend to make a Medford or Eugene trip every now and then. Great beauty, great weather in Brookings OR...great people...if you any assistenace please feel free to contact me at 541-661-1219 and I will be happy to help

If your credit isnt good ( i.e below 600), you won't be able to get a loan. Your only option would be to work on your credit and hopefully get it up to the minimum necessary to finance ( 620).
There are many ways of raising one's score: paying off credit cards, opening a new line of credit, settling collection accounts, removing old charge offs, etc)
You should probably call a debt specialist and get a cosultation there.
Good Luck!!
