Ranch Bernardo Schools are great. The homes prices are great. The inventory at present is very low in the area.

Where are you moving from? How old are your dear sons?

Please let me know if I could be any assistance to you.

You need FBS. Rentals are what we do. Rentals are all we do. Rentals are who we are in San Diego for more than 4 decades. We currently operate rental properties in 69 zip codes throughout the region. We have become the best center for resources essential to renters by choice as well as independent rental owners. We bring industry Best Practices to both. I appreciate the nearly 10,000 Trulia visitors that keep up with my profile as well as the 50,000 that follow Neil Fjellestad's blog. However, my perspective is only one thing that makes FBS the industry leader it is. Our unsurpassed team, our systematic approach to leasing & rendering service to our renters, our daily incorporating technologies that others are just talking about are all reasons for our leadership. But our leadership only matters when it matters to you. First, visit our website http://www.fbs-pm.com then contact our San Diego Metro Office. Start by speaking with Melissa. She'll direct you from there. Your requirement for no carpet throughout could be tough to accomodate. Be prepared as to what other requirements you could compromise. If you get involved with a rental that is planning a flooring improvement but the work hasn't been accomplished yet maybe you can negotiate something. The problem of course is that quality rentals within the 92106 and 92107 neighborhoods are in short supply and there is high demand. If you branch out to 92108 you will be within a 10 mile radius of Point Loma but have twice the selection. Let me know how you make out. Neil ... more

Hi,

When looking for rentals, your best bet is Craigslist. 85% to 95% of all rentals leased in San Diego County are fulfilled using Craigslist. It is used by owners, property management companies and agents alike.

The best way to search is to put the zip code in the search box and then enter the rest of your parameters. Check often and call/e-mail right away as many rentals move quickly!

Lastly, beware of rental scam listings and ads that "look too good to be true”. Make sure you talk to the person managing the property and meet them to see it. Scams usually involve people asking for a deposit prior to seeing the property or filling out a rental application.

Best of luck to you,

Hello Che'vonne Bryan,

On the MLS (mulitiple listing service) for Mira Mesa (92126), there are 2 homes that are 3/2's that allow pets and there is one 4/2. If you would like additional details on these properties, I'd be happy to send them your way.

As with anything...it depends! There are different programs for people with different scores. You can have a really lousy score and still possibly find seller who will still offer you seller financing. The terms would not be very favorable if your score is low, but that's the price one pays for having a low score. A typical mortgage through a big bank will likely require 620 or better, but you would be best served talking to a mortgage broker or loan officer about your specific situation. Ettie, I did not find any information about the listing of this property in our MLS. Which could mean the owner does not want to use an agent in renting this home out. There is a phone number listed on the "listing website" link, but name is not given just some initials. I would like to give a word of advice - do not give or send any money to anyone without meeting them in person and seeing the property first. There are a lot of scammers that ask you to send them money first.

Best of luck to you.

Hi Joy,

That will be possible, but it will depend on geographical flexibility.and other factors. Rents are lower in age restricted communities, but you would need to be 55 or older. Most rental listings pay little to nothing to the agent representing a tenant, but if you'd like information you can contact me and I will send you options that could work for you and connect you to the leasing agent to assist.

Hi Shelley!
t is never to early to start exploring your new city. I can certainly set you up for a search of rentals in the neighborhood to give you an idea of the average rental fees. Feel free to email or call. Good luck on your move. Don't miss the San Diego Zoo. It has to be one of the best in the country.

You could certainly rent a condo for your price...the pitbull however, is going to be the problem. Almost all condos have regulations against the breed.

You might have to go for a house in a less expensive neighborhood - a house would probable be a better option for your pets anyway....

Good luck.
