Most people are surprised to learn that there are mobile home communities in the South Bay. The one you are thinking of is actually in San Pedro on the backside of the Peninsula. It is a gorgeous 55+ park. Many of the unit sites have wonderful ocean and Catalina views. The park even has it's own golf course. There are 8 units for sale with prices ranging from $189,000 to $649,000.
You may be surprised to learn there is a small mobile home park in Hermosa Beach west of Valley Drive. There is a small 1 bedroom priced at $88,000 and a 3 bedroom at $249,000.

There's a movement to ban smoking in community-owned spaces like condo complexes, even inside, and the typical legal angle is to treat smoking as a nuisance, much like other kinds of air pollution. Depending on the location of your garage this may indeed be possible. To be sure you would need to check with the City of Redondo Beach Building Department. You would probably need to add covered parking at another location on the property to meet current code requirements.. Many people who have garages in front and have alley access to their property find that converting a small front garage into living space is an economical way to to obtain increased living area. It is easy to build another garage on the rear of the property that will front on the alley. ... more
