Contacting Contractors in the area for estimates would be the way to go.
Probably an Architect first; and he could recommend a Contractor.

Simply stated....there is no ideal time to fint the right home, in the perfect location, being offered at a price you can't afford to walk away's more about being in the right place at the right time.

Our recommendation is to get into the game and remain in it without worring about if it's the right season..........

Buying a home at auction does not guarantee you buying it at the lowest price. Furthermore, you are buying a home without the opportunity to do due diligence and opening yourself up to buying a home with a cloud on title.
