Depends on the date shown on the Pre-qual you submitted with your purchase offer.
Some brokerages REQUIRE a pre-qual from their preferred lender to vet a buyer. The buyer can use any lender they choose. This requirement, however, provides the seller additional assurances if "Never Ever Bank of Clearwater Florida" fails to deliver on their commitment just before closing....again!

This is not a common request, but certainly should not be a show stopper.

My partner who is not an attorney has closed over 700 short sales & If I can't answer your questions, he probably can & he won't charge you attorney fees.

If you're looking to investigate your loan, who owns it, actually & if they have the rights to actually foreclose on you & things of that nature, yes you would probably want / need an attorney.

Has your CC&R's been updated since you've purchased? I personally would not do anything that the CC&R's prohibit, such as renting them out as vacation rentals, as you may get fined by the HOA. There have been no new laws that I know of which state you can rent out a condo even if your CC&R's say otherwise. ... more
