One route you can go is to get an MLS portal for your area. Contact me with your search criteria and email address and I will set you up.

Hello Tim,

For rentals, you can try websites such as:

http://albuquerque.craigslist.org/apa
http://www.ammre.com
http://www.tysonproperties.com
http://www.rentals.com/New-Mexico/Albuquerque

Be careful when using websites such as craigslist. There can be scams on that website. Be sure to check out all potential owners/landlords.

Best Regards,

Landlords have a saying that, "every renter has bad credit. It is how they explain their credit that counts." You may be able to explain to your potential landlords the reasons for your credit score and why you will pay them faithfully.

Paying a double deposit may also persuade a landlord to rent to you.

Fixing your credit score is also a good idea. One business that specializes in fixing credit scores is Credit Rescue Now. Here is there link: http://www.creditrescuenow.com/.

The agricultural areas in the metro are mostly in the valley and around the perimeter edges. The valley runs the length of the city, from north to south, and has many different neighborhoods. I live in the North Valley and work the valley from end to end. Please contact me directly to discuss your home search criteria and we can get you organized and looking in the right area. ... more

In Sept of this year I contracted with Brickleys to advertise my home in Albuquerque for rent. They did a nice job of taking photos and putting the home on several websites. They screen anyone wanting to rent by pulling credit and background checks. A qualified tenant was found and is moving in Dec. From that point on I will find out how they are as a property management service. The staff is professional and does keep in contact or available when I called.

Make sure that they contact you regarding any work that is requested by the tenant for your approval. They installed a water line to a refrigerator I had delivered without my permission and then I received the invoice. Overall, at this point I'm happy with Brickleys.

Jairo,

Welcome to Albuquerque! It depends on your preferences of living and your job, maybe your kids school (if you have kids). Newer constructions are at NW part of town. Both side have newer and older neighborhood. If you tell me what's your dream home and neighborhood, I can start by give you a few communities as recommendation. It's a lot easier to visit in person, but that's a start.

You can e-mail or call me on my cell phone mei_cheng2000@yahoo.com or (505) 259-8775.
I'm looking forward to help you relocate to Albuquerque!

Not typically, at least not as much as a place like Phoenix, but in this market, I expect you can find some. Frankly, Rentals.com is a good place to shop for rentals, and then you just need to pitch your proposal to landlords/owners. I own rentals, and I would at least consider it because I would consider you a responsible tenant, which alwasy makes life easy, and thus I would be willing to consider a shorter lease term. I think you will have success with a 6 month term. Good luck! ... more
