Hi Kate,
There are many wonderful neighborhoods, older, newer, and even new builds in the 85755 zip code, and the Oro Valley area. There are 2 high schools in the area, Ironwood Ridge (where my daughter is a senior), and Canyon Del Oro. I would be happy to send you the school report cards on these for you to compare. I have lived in the Oro Valley area for the last 20 years. Feel free to email me or give me a call or text at 444-1072, and I can answer any other questions that you may have.
Thanks!

Here is a good way to research crime statistics in Tucson. The website belongs to the Tucson Police Department and states "The CrimeReports.com site is updated nightly, and contains the most recent 6-months of crime and proactive-policing activity within the city."

You can search by address or use the map feature.

The reason the permits did not show up on the title search is because they are not recorded documents. Depending on what the permits are for you may want to have the city building inspector come out and give you some advise. Or contact the contractor who did the work to see why the permits were not finalized. ... more

What is the question? That free sites like Trulia or Zillow are not accurate with their Guestimates? That is true, they are not "right". They are a ballpark guess at best, mostly using just free public information like the county assessors site for properties sold. This is why no one in the real estate industry uses these free sites as comps when determining value. It is just a ball park guess and nothing more.

Again, not sure what the question is. If you have a more specific question please let me know.

The property started our being priced higher in March and has had a few price changes. No way to accurately know why it is still on the market without actually viewing the property and analyzing it against the market.

If you have a real estate agent helping you, they should be able to answer your questions.

Good luck.

When it comes to any safety/crime related issues, it's always best to contact the local police department with all your questions, hear all there is to hear firsthand. If unfamiliar with the area(s) do revisit more than once and at different times of day, possibly chat with locals/neighbors. Real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase/rent, or not, in specific neighborhoods.

HI Dee,

Easy for you to get at the Tucson Police Department's website. 85710 covers a larger area. You can refine your search to a single address, or a block or more.

There wouldn't be anymore risk than if you were financing. Cash will most likely give you an advantage in the negotiations, especially if there are multiple offers.
