Federal Equal Housing Opportunity Law prevent Realtors from "steering" folks to and from specific areas, so the most appropriate way to assist you and answer your question is to provide you with the places where you can find the information to help you make the decision of where you're comfortable living for yourself:

Colorado Springs Police Department Crime Information: www.MyNeighborhoodUpdate.net

Information about Neighborhoods: http://www.brianwess.com/Neighborhoods

Important Colorado Springs Information Links: http://www.brianwess.com/COSpringsInfo

I hope you find this information of use.

Best Regards

Hi Ousaf,

Disclosed by who?
The selling agent?
The seller?

It can only be disclosed if they themselves knew about the landslide area. May have also been in your NHD report assuming you received one.

good luck

I have answered many questions like this before and here is the typical response. You as the buyer have some fiduciary duties to do your own research on the area that you are moving to. Look at crime statistics and other factors that may influence your decision to purchase a home in the area. As Realtors we are bound by a code of ethics and also Fair housing laws that do now allow us to take our personal opinions of an area and project them to our buyers. What is nice to one person will be nasty to another person and vise versa. You as the buyer must do your homework before making a purchasing commitment.
Good luck there are numbers of websites that any realtor can probably give you to help you determine and locate the information that you are looking for.

Our economy here in Grand Junction on the western slope of the Rockies is better than most. Rental prices on homes are lower than most and the job market is ok. You should consider looking at Grand Junction for your relocation. Any info I can send you that would help with your decision? I look forward to your reply. You might consider Manitou Springs, Old Colorado City (OCC) and parts of the westside. Also, the central business district (downtown) such as the Old North End and Patty Jewett. You'll probably find what you are looking for in these areas.

All of these areas are mountain side, or close and near everything such as shopping, parks, trails, colleges, bars, restraurants, etc... and have fairly easily access to I25 (our main corridor) for commuting purposes.
