Doc & Ellen Stephens answered:
San Antonio is one of the Best Places to Buy a home in the entire country. You will need a Buyers Agent to help you to navigate the waters of home purchasing. My blog article might help you:

http://www.trulia.com/blog/ellen_doc_stephens_realtors/2010/03/why_do_i_need_a_buyer_s_agent

There are many questions you should be prepared to answer and ask when interviewing with an agent. First of all, you will need to be pre-approved by a strong LOCAL lender. Any Seller will want to see a pre-approval letter before considering your offer. Your agent can recommend trustworthy lenders for your consideration. The basic items to look for are consistently on time to closing, fair fees and competitive rates.

Your agent works for you! Make sure that your agent takes the time to understand YOUR preferences and doesn't just drop you off at the nearest Builder who is paying a bonus. Your agent should be someone you can really discuss your long-term goals and dreams with.

We think there is no substitute for experience. You will want an agent who knows the neighborhoods, schools, loan options, and who takes the time to get you the best possible home at the best possible price. We invite you to look at our website, www.ElegantTexasHomes.com, and those of others and pick the agent who matches up with you the best. Home Buying is a great adventure when done right.

Best regards,

Frances Lopez answered:
There are several factors that will determine the answer to that question. Pricing the home right and condition of the home is primary. Located in the Medical Center is a great plus. In the last 6 months, 3 properties have sold ranging from 13 days to 75 days. Out of the 2 active listing, one has a contract on it. Not bad at all.

If I can be of assistance, please contact me at 210.771.0110

Oh man... where do I start! There are some really good ones..

But I need a bit more info:

What is your max price range?
What type of finish-out are you looking for?
Are you looking for a custom home built on land or a home built in a neighborhood?
How soon do you need to move? Is an new inventory home ok, or do you need to build one?
West and NW is a pretty large area, is there a more specific spot you would like to focus in on?

No matter how you slice it.. I'll get you a MUCH better deal than you can get on your own, and I won't cost you a penny! I'll explain how later :)

Give me a call when you can... it's a bit much to type...

But if you prefer e-mai: Jason@SAHomeExpert.com

Or you can shoot me a text message..

Co-Signer doesn't cure the lack of willingness/capacity to pay.
Co-Signer can only add income for someone who can demonstrate the above.

M. Reyes, the Credit Alert Interactive Voice Response System is one used by lenders to check a borrower's credit history for: Dept of HUD, Dept of Justice, Small Business Admin., US Dept of Agriculture, and the VA (Veteran's Admin.). It will show any adverse results on your credit with them.

For more information go to www.hud.gov or call my favorite lender, Carlo Colantonio with NationStar Mortgage for a more detailed explanation at 210-313-6196 c. or 210-290-8225 w..

I would like to work with you in finding your new home, so when Carlo has helped you, please contact me so we can get started.

Erin Zhu, I will start looking for a REALTOR® who speaks Chinese or Mandarin. I regret that I do not speak it, but I want you to feel comfortable when you buy your home, so I will send your information out to a few agents.

You can also contact the San Antonio Board of Realtors at 210-593-1200 for more information. Oh wait, I just remembered that the owner of Royal Inn is also a REALTOR® and he speaks Chinese.

Call Rex at 210-691-0602 and tell him that Monica Barrientos sent you!

Good Luck!

Hi,

You need to get with a Brokerage that does property management and get them to do a comparable market analysis for rentals in your neighborhood. Some Brokerages may do this for you free of charge, you just need to call around.

Good luck with your rental.

Yes we do. Each Owner has specific requirements and buyer disclosures but it can be a win-win. You will most often need to commit to a specific timeline for the baloon payment but can work out those details after we know more about your situation. We always ask for ten percent down payment and a letter of explaination to present to the Seller but give me a call to discuss what kind of property you are looking for. 210-385-0305 ... more
