That's an arborist question. May depend if you want for shade, wind block, fast growing, how tall, how close to the house etc.

Prevailing wind direction is South, but I've never hear of here in a residential neighborhood people planting for wind block. In the country to protect cropland on the plains, yes, but not in a neighborhood.

I've never really noticed or heard about people bothered by the wind?

I have sold homes in the Keller area for 13 years and have many happy clients who live in there. There are lots of surrounding areas that have good values as well.
