It's kinda tough these days getting in an apartment without good or ok credit, however it can be done it just may take more looking around than usual and perhaps you will need to visit them in person before filling out the application to explain your situation to them and perhaps that will help them build some trust in you and not pay so much attention to your credit. Good luck to you and I wish you the best!... more

You may be required to pay a larger deposit or get a co-signer if your credit score is low. Most owners do run a credit check now. An individual who wants to rent their property may be a little easier to negotiate with.
Keller Williams Northwest
The acceptance of your credit score depends on the individual landlord. When it comes to rentals, drive the neighborhoods and call the for rent signs that interest you and negotiate your lease w/ that landlord.
I am going to pass your above information to, Vince Brown of Plan B Property Management (405-306-8082). He runs a large property management company here in the city, hopefully he will have a unit available for you.
"Good neighborhood" is a relative term that can't really be defined by anyone except the person asking the question. If you're asking about crime, there's a great website where you can check out crime rates on my website, www.ShowMeOKC.com - look in the "Local Resources" section at the bottom left.... more

Why would you open your property up to an unknown person, Think logically here and say what if this person uses my home for illegal use, or they are hiding from law enforcement. Homeland security issue would apply also, how do you know if they are not a terrorist if they are not on the grid to begin with! How would you feel if 6 months from not you see this person on the news for having committed a terrorist act in your area!... more
I'd interview some property managers. A good one is worth their weight in gold. A bad one is a waste of money and dangerous because you are losing contact with your property. The best one I know of is Thomas Nelson with Homequest. Email me at jamesjudd at kw dot com and I'll get you his contact info.... more
Your area is very desirable for selling or leasing. I suggest we market it to sell first and then if we don't achieve the desired outcome, we rent it out. What's the property address? I'll do a complimentary comparative analysis.. it will educate us a whole lot better on which way to proceed. Do you have a phone number you can be reached at?
