In Oklahoma even if a listing agent new of such, the agent would have to go to a seller and request permission to disclose to a buyer; unless it is already known by public or other.

Hope this helps.

This is a question with many broad answers and numbers for 2009 may not be readily available. But, there are two sites that will allow you to see most of 2008 and 2007's data and allow users to form their own conclusions about a particualr area. Reliability has not been verified by my office, brokerage, or board. Please use at your own risk. The best method to get a feel for a particualr area is the old-fashioned method... Go knock on some doors of residents in the area you are considering. To surf from the comfort of your chair, these sites may provide some insight:

Your concerns are best answered by going to the web site for the local police department, or contact them in person, and review the crime statistical data available there.
