It's a mixed bag. There's a burgeoning comedy scene in Oklahoma City though with some genuinely talented local comedians and there are open mics at various area bars. As I remember it JJ's (downtown) has one Sunday, Landing Zone has one on Monday, Othello's on Tuesday, Looney Bin has one on Wednesday early in the evening (and they usually have a special price on Wednesday), Paseo Underground has one in the evening and there are various special comedy events if you know where to look to find out about them. ... more

Marrianne, if you have signed a Buyer-Broker-Agreement you should find the terms under which the agreement can be resolved in there.

However, before you decide to fire your agent, I suggest to have a sit-down, face-to-face conversation first. Let your agent know why you are not satisfied and give your agent a chance to respond.

Sometimes it is just a case of misunderstandings and/or expectations that were not clearly communicated up front.

It is never our goal to have an unhappy client! A conversation may resolve the conflict and if it doesn't then it may be in everybody's interest to terminate the agency relationship mutually. It all depends on where in the process you are at though and whether or not you are already under contract.

Banks only have their own interests in mind. Most of the time a homeowner's only contact is with the loss mid department that works under the mortgage servicing company. Keep in mind that the homeowner is asking the bank to consider modifying their legally binding contract every time he/she requests a short sale. Short sales are highly complex situations that only work when investors, servicers, buyers and mortgage insurance companies come to an agreement.

We may never know what really happens internally within a bank during a short sale. With that being said, if you feel that the bank has wronged you in some way, I highly suggest seeking an experienced Real Estate attorney in your area. I wish you the best of luck.
