Hi Rod,
Kansas City has always had excellent value, and the foreclosure market is holding true to form. I have listed and sold foreclosures for the last 8 years in all areas of KC, at all price points- $9000 to $500,000!

The first question I always ask investors is your business model- are you planning on flipping, rehabbing and rentings...?

if I can be of any service to you, please let me know!

I am not familiar with the market in Alpharetta, however Liberty is a desirable location to live. Their housing is stable. Liberty is an older city with many new features. They have very good schools for families with children. If Liberty is where you are looking, I am sure you will be able to find what you are looking for.

Would welcome the opportunity to assist you when you are ready to make the move.

Chris Lengquist answered:
Are you looking for a personal residence or an investment property?

Personal residences are fully dependent upon what you like. Schools, neighborhoods, parks, transportation, location. So that's a difficult one to answer without knowing more. Personally, I live in Olathe which is in southern JoCo.

For investments (which I work with in abundance) JoCo can be very good but it's not as profitable as other areas of town like Blue Springs or Belton or other good areas.

Feel free to provide more detail so myself and others can help you better.

Roy,

I go back to india often and it's always suprising the changes that happen with real estate. there are more people with disposal income so this has cause real estate to boom there. Particularly chennai is doing quite well and is such an educational hub for young and old professionals. If you concerned about investing i would consider looking at the bigger cities because those seem to be affected less whenever there is market flucation. ... more
