Hi Keon,

Depending on your budget, there are lots of great rental options in Grand Rapids, and more being developed as we speak. As you move outward from downtown Grand Rapids, the options with the updates you're looking for might be fewer, but the prices should certainly be better.

If you've tried your luck with searching here on Trulia, Zillow, Craigslist, and the like, and need some additional help, let me know. We can talk about additional tools I'll have as a Realtor, the most important of which may just be the time I can put into your search and the love I have for doing it.

There are a fair amount of rentals downtown available for you. However, where you live depends upon the monthly rental you are willing to invest. What rental range did you want to have? This will determine which properties are available for you.

Thank you!

Yes, REALTORS (R) can help you find a rental. Some are more inclined to work with rental clients than others. Call us and ask.

Hi Anne,

Yes Real Estate Agents can help, but the price range you are looking for in this area, is very low. Rental demands are up and supply is low - therefore driving the values up! The average rental is anywhere from 1500 - 2,500 a month.
If you do not know how long you will be here, then not buying is a good decision, however I am afraid will not find much.
Craig's list is good, and I have started a FB group for people to post rentals, or rental needs called "For Rent or looking to rent/Land Contracts ........Kent County Michigan" you can ask to join and post your need there. has a leasing section as well.

Good luck in your search!
