There was no address provided.

Have you tried using a mapping program like Google Maps? You can enter the address and see what is in the area, including parks and schools.

Try going there and see if you find what you are looking for. We can't really say what areas are safe, not safe, family friendly, or no way would I move my family there but it may work for yours. We can only give you websites to do your own research. So, just go to Google as I did, and type what you are looking for.

Best of luck!

You probably aren't going to get an answer from an actual Augusta Green resident here on Trulia. Drive the area at all different times of the day and days of the week to get a feel for the neighborhood. If you really want to know, knock on some doors, talk to the people that may be your future neighbor (assuming that's why you are asking this question). Search online for the statistics that you are interested in: crime, etc...Hope this makes sense... ... more

Hi Loraine
If you live next door to an abandoned house that is an eyesore and you feel it is affecting the market value of your neighborhood I'd suggest calling your local Municipality and ask to speak to the Code Enforcement Dept in the Building Dept. All dwellings are supposed to be maintained whether lived in or abandoned. So explain the situation and perhaps they can get after the Estate, or the Lender that owns the property and get them to improve the property, sell it or tear it down. ... more

Jeff,
I'm not sure if there is access directly from Forest Blvd or not, but Windcombe as a neighborhood does have access to the Monon as far as I know.

Hi Tim,

You can lookup properties for sale on Trulia by zip codes. But I don't think you can "sort by" zip code here. But once you have a single list of ONE zip code, you can then sort by lots of different criteria like price, $ per square foot and others.

Llise,

I wanted to say that it is great that you look out for your family.

Is your mom on unemployment? How is the rent getting paid? I know these questions are not really geared for a 13 year old and would suggest if your mom is interested in exploring home ownership to contact a local realtor to go over her financial situation and put her on the right track.

If she wants, she can go under the find a pro feature up top and find a local agent to talk to.
