You will need to find someone who is willing to rent their home to you for the next "X" number of years and then you would usually need to obtain financing to purchase the home from them. Just make sure that whatever terms you agree to will be possible for you when it comes time to purchase. Talk to a lender now and see how long before you will be able to qualify for a mortgage because you don't want to enter a "Rent with Option to Buy" without knowing when you will be able to actually buy. If you click on the link below it will take you to my Blog about how a "Rent to Own" works.

Try the link I sent. It's a quick search in Pike Township with 3 bedrooms, and I did a keyword for rent. Check them out, and send me an email if you have any questions.

Best way to find rentals is your local newspaper, Craigslist, or just driving around. I know it sounds cumbersome, but most rentals aren't listed with a professional real estate agent....cheaper for the homeowner. ... more

Julie Barnett answered:
I would start looking now if I were you. There are several reasons why, but one of the main reasons is that it could take you a while to find the right place. Fountain Square is a desired area and with the spring time and warmer weather comes people wanting to move. Get a jump on things and start to investigate what is out there and available in your price range. You could also try to speak with prospective landlords about homes or apartments that will be coming available in the next month or two. Home hunting can take some time, so don't box yourself in by waiting too long to start looking. In many cases a security deposit should be able to reserve the property (assuming you qualify with the landlord's requirements).

To get the best idea of what is available, you can contact a realtor, but also let your friends who live in the area know and check the local newspapers and publications. Signs in the yard are always another good way to spot a place for rent! (LOL!) By networking and using all your resources you should have a successful home search. I wish you good luck.

David,

We will certainly keep your home in mind when working for clients. Do you have it listed in the MLS for lease? This is a low cost option we provide that generates the most exposure for your home. Thanks.
