Calling does no good. You need to put it in writing and send certified.
The phone calls you made may be useful if you have them documented (date/ time /and length).

The organization below may be able to advise:
Louisville Metro Tenant's Association

Hope this helps,

Not really sure I understand the question. You wrote a contract on a house without the appraisal contingency in there? The owners accepted it and mailed it to you? Now you want the appraisal contingency in there? If this isn't correct, let me know what exactly happened. This must all be by owners correct? Most ALL contracts have an appraisal contingency in there to check or not check. ... more

You may find it's tough to even lease a home, since the lessor will require at least 2 months rent in advance. In addition, most landlords are now doing extensive credit checks on any potential tenant, so your low credit score, if discovered, will also be a big negative. Finally, good rental homes are hard to find with demand exceeding supply, so landlords can be picky. Good luck!! ... more

Dorothy,
There are a lot of factors to consider in making your decision. Is this your first time buying a home? How long do yu plan on staying in Louisville?
interest rates are very low now, so I would suggest calling a lender to see what steps yu would need to take to get preapproved of yu can't get a loan now. There are so many programs out there to make home ownership affordable-yu may be surprised! I'd be more than happy to provide some lenders for your convenience just to explore your options. give me a call 502-681-7335 ... more

Trading one loan for another may not help you. you should ask your loan officer who should be able to give you teh pros and cons. The benefit would be if say you had several credit cards with high interest rates and you consoldated them into 1 loan with a lower interest rate. ... more

Hey there-

i grew up in Vestal!

Indeed the prices here in Louisville are affordable, always have been, which is part of the charm.

Being in mid-America, it seems we were never hit to hard by the bubble, and the matter of supply vs. demand applies here to Louisville Metro.

We are expanding however, building new attractions like the new Yum Center Stadium, etc.

We also preserve well-- we have more park land in the country, as well as Victorian Homes and Bungalows, Arts&Crafts etc.

Feel free to hit us up on http://www.louisvillehouse.net to see detailed searches here in Louisville, Old Louisville, St. Matthews, Cliffton, The Highlands, Mockingbird Valley, and other beautiful places to chose from.

Thanks!
Allison

Hi Again Johnnice,
I'm not sure what the company is at that location, but I'm including a link to a series of credit repair companies that you find in the Yellow Pages, yes they still exist but they are now online. Be very careful about who you work with. Ask for client recommendations and call those recommendations. I know some credit repair companies can be helpful, and I still think talking to a mortgage lender that you trust can help you and go a long way to repairing credit. Here's that link:http://www.yellowpages.com/louisville-ky/credit-repair-service.
