Dear relocation friends, Germantown is a very nice place to live. It's next to Memphis. It has a lower property tax than Memphis does. It has very good schools from ELM to High. It has great library, sport center & perfoormance center that meet your needs. People love this city with great police officers, firefighters and learning centers for kids' music, dancing, sports, English & Math. Great community!!!
Germantown has very good home sales if you invest your money into the best school district. Renting will lose money, buying is better because of nice Germantown property value and many other reasons, like tax benifits, privacy, enjoying life with more space with more freedom, happiness and family love. You will gain money & happiness when you leave if you get a good deal home in a nice area in today's housing market.
Another city is Bartlett that has a lower city tax as well. It's a very nice city next to Memphis. You will get bigger home in Bartlett if spending the same money comparing with Germantown.
Smart home buyer should buy now. There has never been a better time!!!

There is no magic answer for this question and you might have to check several before you will one that will rent you a home.Let's face it, if you have only a temporary job you are a high risk renter that you will default at sometime when you temporary job disappears. How would you feel if you were the owner of the property? Would you rent to someone with a temporary job? A lot of full time jobs are disappearing daily. Take care and have a blessed day.... more
